Children's and adults fascination with horses real and rocking has been evident for 100s of years.
The traditional Victorian rocking horses on bows require a little practice to learn to ride. The bows can be made faster or slower by varying the radius if desired, but rolled up towels under the bows will slow the rocking motion enough until the child becomes proficient at riding the horse.
The knobs at the end of the bows look decorative but are primarily there for safety, when rocked most vigorosly the bows will contact the floor and stop the horse tipping over. |
